2011 District 12 Umpires Selected for Service

District 12 is pleased to announce several of its volunteer umpires have been selected to represent the District
beyond the local level of All Stars.
Lee Talley, Amelia Little League, has been selected as a volunteer umpire for the 2011 Texas East Little League State Baseball tournament in Tyler, TX. This is Lee's first year at the Texas East Little League State Tournament Terry Falgout, West End Little League, has been selected as a volunteer umpire for the 2011 Texas East Little League State Baseball tournament in Tyler, TX. This will be Terry's second year at the Texas East Little League State Tournament. Greg Pearson, Texas District 12 Staff Umpire, has been selected as a volunteer umpire for the 2011 Texas East Junior Baseball State tournament in Tyler, TX. This will be Greg's fourth year at the Texas East State Tournament. Joe Markham, a most recent member of District 12, has been selected as a volunteer umpire at the 2011 Junior League World Series in Taylor, MI. Congratulations to these committed volunteers for the honor of being selected among so many Texas umpires. We wish these volunteers our very best while representing District 12 and are very proud of all District volunteers. Gary Hennigan Lifetime Achievement Award

District 12, once again, has recognized one of the very special individuals as recipient of the Gary Hennigan Lifetime Achievement Award. Gary Hennigan Lifetime Achievement Award is named after the first recipient of the award in 2004.
Gary spent his life molding the young people in Tyler County as sheriff of Tyler County and President of Tyler County Little League for over thirty years. His passion and dedication of helping children thru the Little League program will always be remembered thru this award.
At the May 27th District 12 general meeting, District Administrator Charlie Boykin presented the 2011 Gary Hennigan Lifetime Achievement Award to David Smith, President of Kirbyville Little League and a valuable resource for Little League. David has given 38 years of service to Kirbyville LL. David's 38 years of dedicated service to the many children of Kirbyville Little League are quite commendable.
